Forever 21 and The Samburu Project, a non-profit organization based in Santa Monica, CA, have united to help bring an end to the world water crisis.
Here’s the low down:
FACT #1: 4,500 children die EACH DAY world-wide due to the lack of clean, safe drinking water
FACT #2: An American taking a 5 minute shower uses MORE WATER than a typical person in the developing country uses in a whole day.
FACT #3: Samburu women and girls walk up to 12 miles every day in search of water
Since 2005, The Samburu Project has been working hard to drill wells in order to bring clean drinking water to those in need, mainly in the Samburu district of Kenya, as well as promoting long term sustainability and self sufficiency.
And what better way to help than SHOPPING? Forever 21 has made a line especially for The Samburu Project in their Give to Love. Love to Give collection. 10% of the purchase price will go directly to The Samburu Project! (And the clothes are super cute just saying).
